An Arima resident is facing drug trafficking charges following a police operation conducted early Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026. The operation, carried out by officers from the Transit Police Task Force and the Arima Criminal Investigations Department, led to the discovery of a marijuana cultivation site at a house on Alfred Street, off Olton Road. The site contained 72 cannabis plants and approximately 400 grammes of dried marijuana. The operation was overseen by Superintendent Robert Joseph of the Transit Police Unit and Sergeant Kurt Virgil.
