Fallen NATO Training Soldiers Returned to U.S.

Six United States Army soldiers who tragically perished in a helicopter crash during a NATO training mission have finally been returned to their homeland. The soldiers were aboard a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter, which crashed during a routine military training exercise in Europe. The mission’s aim was to reinforce coordination and readiness among NATO allies. The fallen soldiers have been identified as Staff Sgt. Darin Xhorik, Sgt. Nicole Amor, Sgt. Kelsey Tiejens, Specialist Jacob Coady, Staff Sgt. Victor Marzan, and Sgt. Kevin O’Brien. After being flown back, they will receive full military honors. Their return has brought about a solemn moment for their families, fellow soldiers, and communities. As the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, the U.S. Department of Defense continues to support the families of the fallen soldiers.
