Ethiopia has surpassed export earnings of $9.8 billion in the first 11 months of the 2018 fiscal year, marking a significant achievement in the nation’s economic recovery. The earnings exceeded the initial target of $8.48 billion set by trade officials. Kassahun Gofe, the Minister of Trade, announced this milestone, highlighting it as a positive trend in the country’s trade performance. This accomplishment underscores the ongoing development in Ethiopia’s trade sector, heralding a robust economic future. The fiscal year started on July 8, 2025.
