In a horrific event, Kelly Ann Lemessy, a resident of Rio Claro, was brutally shot and killed while her children were present. The incident took place as Lemessy and her family were on their way to Sangre Grande. The assailant shot her in the head right outside her home. At the time of the shooting, Lemessy’s infant was on her lap, and another child, aged 7, was in the vehicle. Lemessy was seated in the parked vehicle when the gunman fired, hitting her in the head.
