Trinidad Launches Nationwide Laptop Distribution Initiative

The official launch of the laptop distribution initiative themed, ‘Learning without limits: A laptop for every child,’ took place at Penal Secondary School on 27th November, 2025. In this inaugural event, 168 laptops were given to Form 1 students, all equipped with an AI teaching assistant to help guide them through the national secondary school curriculum. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC, and the Minister of Education, Michael Dowlath, were present at the distribution ceremony. The distribution process will continue in the coming weeks with updates being provided to parents by school principals. The Ministry of Education remains committed to providing modern, high-quality resources to every student in the country.
