During a recent Senate debate, Independent Senator Dr. Marlene Attzs voiced her concerns regarding the potential stigmatization of law-abiding citizens living in ‘hotspots’ due to the Special Zones law. The Government’s Zones of Special Operations (ZOSOS) Bill has been under discussion, and Attzs highlighted the risk of these citizens becoming collateral damage if protections are not put in place. She urged the government to ensure that these citizens are protected and not negatively impacted by the law’s implications.
