Islamabad International Airport is set to become the first in Pakistan to house a comprehensive indoor 5G network. The Pakistan Airports Authority announced the installation is underway, backed by a $5 million investment from China.
The project aims to deliver high-speed internet connectivity to passengers throughout the terminal. It is expected to generate approximately Rs600,000 in monthly revenue, marking a significant step forward in the country’s digital infrastructure.
This initiative highlights growing collaboration between Pakistan and China in technology sectors. The network will enhance passenger experience and streamline airport operations, positioning the airport as a regional digital hub.
