Jabari Stephen Brown, the young pilot known online as ‘Captain Treezy’, has found himself at the center of an international drug trafficking investigation. Brown, recognized for winning a private jet in a MrBeast challenge, was arrested in Paraguay after authorities discovered approximately 261.6 kilograms of high-THC marijuana on his private aircraft that had arrived from Miami. The drugs were allegedly concealed in luggage being unloaded at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport near Asunción.
After his win in the MrBeast competition in 2025, Brown rose to international fame, transforming into a popular aviation influencer. However, his journey in private aviation has met a serious hurdle with this recent arrest. Paraguay’s National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD) estimates the found drug shipment to be worth roughly US$3.6 million on the Brazilian market.
The case has taken a complex turn as investigators have detained several individuals and are working to unravel the roles of those involved. They are particularly interested in determining who organized the flight and who owned the cargo. An important aspect of the investigation is identifying whether the crew members were aware of the alleged operation.
The arrest of Brown has attracted international attention, largely due to his online popularity and association with the viral MrBeast challenge. Authorities maintain that the investigation is ongoing, and all individuals involved are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
