A 65-year-old Maraval resident fell victim to a violent robbery at his home in Fairways, Maraval. The incident unfolded on the evening of March 19 and continued into the early hours of the next day. The victim had invited the suspect, a male acquaintance of six months, over for drinks. However, as the night progressed, the situation escalated into a robbery. The suspect, whom the victim first met at Smokey and Bunty’s Bar, refused to leave when asked. He then produced a firearm, struck the victim on the head, and restrained him before demanding valuables. The stolen items include $1,700 in cash, a Dell laptop valued at $12,000, a black iPhone 11 worth $3,000, and various bank cards. The extent of the victim’s injuries from the firearm attack is not yet known.
