Guyana Police Deny Rumored Death of Wanted Man

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has publicly denied rumors of the death of wanted man Jamal Bourne, also known as “Skinny,” circulating on social media. The police stated that there is no official confirmation of Bourne’s death. The rumors started after a video surfaced online, allegedly showing Bourne injuring himself with a suspected gunshot during a TikTok Live broadcast. Bourne is a person of interest in the murder case of Akeem Hamer. The video, which caused widespread concern, showed Bourne with others, displaying firearms. The video has since been taken down from the original platform. The GPF highlighted that they have not received any reports of Bourne’s death or the alleged incident from any of Guyana’s 12 policing divisions. The police are treating the matter seriously and are making all necessary enquiries to verify the origin and context of the video.
