Interior designer Bhyman Madhoo, 36, was shot dead inside his vehicle on September 11 in Malabar, near Eugene Laurent Drive and Holly Betaudier Avenue. The fatal incident followed a routine business appointment that turned into a deadly trap.
Madhoo owned Madhoo Interiors and hailed from Boi Bande Village on Ojoe Road in Sangre Grande. He was lured to the site under the pretext of a site visit, but the purpose of the meeting was never carried out.
Police suspect the shooting was a planned killing, though the motive remains unclear. Witnesses reported no shooter in the area, and the victim was deliberately drawn to the location by someone who knew his movements and business activities.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, interviewing potential witnesses, and probing who arranged the alleged site visit. No suspects have been identified, and authorities have not released a statement from Madhoo Interiors.
The case adds to growing concerns about targeted violence in the region. Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
