Kezel Jackson Claims $150K Bounty Has Been Placed On Her

Activist Kezel Jackson has claimed that a TT$150,000 bounty has been placed on her life, making the startling allegation in a video shared via her social media on Monday night.

Speaking directly to her followers, Jackson said she had received information suggesting that money had been offered in connection with a plot to have her killed.

She further claimed that the TT$150,000 was intended as payment to people involved in arranging or facilitating the alleged killing, rather than necessarily being paid directly to the shooters.

No independent evidence confirming the existence of the alleged bounty has been made public, and Jackson’s account remains an unverified claim.

During the social media address, Jackson connected the alleged threat against her life to what she described as wider problems involving justice, inequality and the treatment of ordinary citizens in Trinidad and Tobago.

She strongly criticised the state of the country and its institutions, declaring that “our democracy is dead” and describing those in power as “despots”.

Jackson also criticised the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service while questioning whether citizens were being adequately protected.

She called on people across the country to unite, saying her struggle was on behalf of those she described as downtrodden, poor and denied equity, fairness and justice.

“I fight for the downtrodden, for the poor, for justice,” Jackson said, adding that she intended to continue her struggle for as long as God allowed.

Her message became particularly intense when she questioned whether citizens were prepared to risk their lives while standing against what she considers an unjust system.

“Are you ready to die?” Jackson asked, while warning people against becoming “pawns” in a system she believes exploits them.

Despite the seriousness of Jackson’s allegations, TG News has not independently verified the existence of a TT$150,000 bounty, who may allegedly be behind it, or whether police have launched an investigation into the claim.
