CIA Source Aids in Maduro’s Capture

In a dramatic U.S. operation on January 3, 2026, U.S. intelligence and special forces captured Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, with the help of a covert source within the Venezuelan government. This source, maintained by the CIA, had been deeply embedded in Maduro’s inner circles and provided crucial information regarding Maduro’s precise location, routines and movement patterns. This intelligence was cross-verified using stealth drones and other surveillance platforms. Once confirmed, operation ‘Absolute Resolve’ was launched, involving elite Delta Force operators and extensive air and logistical assets. Military installations in Caracas were targeted to disrupt Venezuelan defenses and facilitate deep penetration into government compounds. Maduro and his wife were captured and are set to face narcoterrorism and drug trafficking charges in the U.S. The operation symbolizes a dramatic escalation in U.S. involvement in Venezuelan affairs, eliciting mixed global reactions.
