Education Minister, Dr. Michael Dowlath, has reiterated a strict no tolerance stance towards bullying in the education system of Trinidad and Tobago. This move comes in response to a viral video of a secondary school student being bullied. In an interview with TTT News, Dr. Dowlath affirmed that any proven instances of bullying will be dealt with severely as per the Student Code of Conduct. He encouraged students suffering from bullying to confide in adults they trust. He also took the opportunity to highlight the support systems established by the Ministry of Education through its Student Support Services Division. The Minister praised the national response to the incident, emphasizing its role in sparking important dialogues about bullying awareness and prevention.
