China Denies US AI Theft Allegations

China has strongly rejected allegations from the United States that Chinese artificial‑intelligence (AI) firms are systematically extracting proprietary capabilities from American AI models. The Chinese government described the claims as “unfounded.”

The dispute was sparked after the U.S. Cyber Defense Agency issued an advisory that raised concerns about the potential theft of AI technology. In response, China has maintained that its AI companies do not engage in such practices.

China’s statement comes just weeks before scheduled high‑level talks between the two countries on AI governance, during which both sides are expected to discuss regulatory frameworks and cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
