Bangladesh, Hong Kong sign investment protection deal

On September 9, 2026, Bangladesh and Hong Kong signed an Investment Promotion and Investment Protection Agreement to strengthen bilateral investment ties.

The agreement, announced by officials from both sides, is intended to provide a framework for protecting investments and encouraging economic cooperation between the two jurisdictions.
