**BUENOS AIRES** — The national government has resumed dialogue with the Norte Grande region regarding energy expenditure relief, according to reports from August 2026.
Governors from the northern provinces are seeking to negotiate the implementation of a Warm Zones Regime (*Régimen de Zonas Cálidas*). The proposed framework aims to mirror the subsidy and assistance scheme currently applied to southern provinces during periods of intense cold.
Discussions between regional authorities and the national government are focused on mitigating high energy costs associated with climate conditions in the country’s northern territory.
