**Pope Leo XIV to Visit Argentina in November**
Pope Leo XIV is scheduled to visit Argentina for four days, from November 8 to 11, marking the first visit by a pontiff to the country in nearly 40 years. The Vatican confirmed the dates as part of the Pope’s first apostolic journey to the region.
During his four-day stay, the Pope will visit Córdoba, Luján, and Buenos Aires to participate in various activities before continuing his South American tour. His regional itinerary also includes a prior stop in Uruguay and a subsequent visit to Peru, where the tour will conclude.
In preparation for the visit, government officials and the Church have begun coordination efforts. Karina Milei, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, convened a meeting with the Argentine Episcopal Conference at the Casa Rosada. The meeting brought together Church representatives and national officials, including Security Minister Alejandra Monteoliva, Human Capital Minister Sandra Pettovello, and Chancellor Pablo Quirno.
This upcoming journey marks the first papal visit to Argentina since Pope John Paul II’s extensive pastoral tour in 1987. Both the national government and the Church are currently working to finalize the agenda for the event.
