A woman detained in connection with the death of Steve Ghany Jr. has been ordered to be released. The incident took place at the couple’s home in Vistabella on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Following the tragic event, police took the woman into custody for questioning.
On Friday morning, a legal officer from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 3, met with Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard. After this consultation, the DPP decided to release the woman.
Despite her release, homicide detectives have been directed to continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ghany’s death. The probe remains active, with investigators expected to return for additional legal guidance as they seek to clarify the details of the case.
The developments have raised questions about the ongoing investigation and the circumstances of the incident that led to the woman’s detention. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are focused on gathering more evidence and insights into the matter.
