Kaido Höövelson, widely known as Baruto, has indicated that he is considering a return to politics. The 41-year-old former member of the Riigikogu stated that he does not rule out running as a candidate in the 2027 parliamentary elections.
Höövelson, who served in the Estonian parliament for four years, noted that his interest in returning to public office has grown over time. He expressed a desire to contribute to various initiatives, stating that he has accumulated a significant amount of motivation to accomplish specific goals.
Following his departure from the Riigikogu after the 2023 elections, Höövelson focused on expanding business relations in Japan and other Asian markets. Additionally, he has dedicated time to training the Estonian sumo team and supporting them during competitions. At the time of his exit from parliament, Höövelson remarked that he welcomed the opportunity to pursue other professional and personal projects.
