Authorities responded to a report of an injured man in Bubali on Sunday afternoon following claims that he had been the victim of an assault. Police and ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a person lying on the ground covered in blood.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to interview the man, but officials reported that he was highly intoxicated and unable to provide coherent information regarding the incident. Medical personnel treated the man for his injuries at the location.
While police were preparing to take the individual into custody, a family member arrived at the scene and took responsibility for him. Preliminary observations by responding officers suggested that the man’s condition was likely the result of alcohol consumption rather than an external attack.
