In a shocking incident, a 42-year-old gardener from Valencia, Anthony Sankar, was found dead in his own garden, a victim of what police are currently investigating as a homicide. On Wednesday, November 26th, at around 8:40 p.m., police were alerted when Sankar failed to return home. His body was found in a garden off Valencia By-Pass Road, roughly a mile from the main road. Sankar had sustained gunshot wounds to his face and torso. The District Medical Officer conducted an examination at the scene and authorized the body’s removal. Initial enquiries indicated that Sankar had left home around 11:00 a.m. to tend his garden, a routine, he usually wrapped up by late afternoon. His family initiated a search when he failed to return and made the gruesome discovery. The police investigation into the circumstances of his death is ongoing.
