**Moldovan Airspace Breached by Unidentified Aircraft**
*Chisinau, 11 August 2026* – The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Moldova reported that an unidentified aerial object entered Moldovan airspace earlier today. According to the ministry, the aircraft approached from the direction of Odesa, Ukraine, passing through the Transnistrian region before crossing the border near the city of Dnestrovsk.
The object remained within Moldovan airspace for approximately nine minutes before exiting the country, re‑entering Ukrainian territory near the village of Limanske, following the same flight path it had taken on entry.
The ministry’s statement linked the incident to the ongoing Russian missile and air strike campaign against the Ukrainian city of Odesa, which took place earlier on the same day. No further details about the type of aircraft, its operator, or its purpose have been released.
Moldovan authorities have not reported any injuries or damage resulting from the breach. The incident is being investigated in coordination with Ukrainian counterparts to determine the circumstances surrounding the unauthorized flight.
