On March 1, 2026, two men were apprehended and charged with larceny at the Trestrail Housing Development. Estate officers on patrol noticed the men, later identified as Johnathan Pierre, 37, and Okang Rodriguez, 28, sitting in a parked car near an unoccupied apartment. Officers observed them entering a vacant apartment and removing household fixtures, which they placed in their vehicle. When confronted, the suspects claimed they were merely ‘passing through’. The items recovered included a ceramic bathroom sink, a vanity cabinet, a toilet assembly, paint buckets, and plumbing fixtures. Both suspects were arrested and charged at the Arima Police Station. The investigation is ongoing.
