The Sangre Grande CID promptly initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest and charging of Hunte and Ramnath. While Hunte was denied bail, Ramnath was granted bail under specific conditions. The case is set to be heard in the Sangre Grande District Court on February 2, 2026.
