On August 19, 2026, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) was alerted to multiple bomb threats across the nation. Seven locations were targeted, including several magistrates’ courts and public facilities, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
The affected sites encompass the Arima, Princes Town, Chaguanas, Siparia, and Sangre Grande magistrates’ courts. Additionally, Kent House, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, as well as a location in San Fernando and Valpark Shopping Plaza, were mentioned in the threats.
In response, the TTPS immediately enacted its security protocols. Officers were dispatched to the locations to perform thorough checks and ensure public safety. The police have urged citizens to remain calm and avoid the specified areas while investigations are underway.
