TTPS Arrests Three Suspects in Homicide of Corporal Anuska Eversley

In a press briefing, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) confirmed the arrest and charging of three men in connection with the killing of Acting Corporal Anuska Eversley, whose body was discovered at the San Fernando Municipal Police Station earlier this year.

The accused have been identified as Jivan Cooper, Kwame Arnold, and Nicholas Ramdass. The trio appeared before the courts charged with murder and several related offences stemming from the ongoing investigation.

Police also revealed that a fourth suspect remains at large and is believed to have fled Trinidad and Tobago. Authorities confirmed that an Interpol Red Notice has been issued as international efforts continue to locate and apprehend the individual.

During the investigation, law enforcement officers uncovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition in Claxton Bay. The seizure included 38 pistols, four shotguns, one submachine gun, a revolver, and approximately 900 rounds of ammunition.

While investigators have successfully recovered a portion of the stolen weapons, the TTPS said a significant quantity remains unaccounted for, prompting continued search operations across several areas.

Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro praised the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies involved in the investigation, including the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, Special Branch, the Strategic Services Agency (SSA), the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), and the Cyber Crime Unit.

The TTPS also urged members of the public to avoid spreading misinformation on social media, warning that premature disclosures have the potential to compromise active investigations and law enforcement operations.

Authorities continue to appeal to citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity as investigations into the matter continue.
