The search for missing two-year-old Angelo Tobias in Tobago has intensified as community members and emergency response agencies continue efforts to locate the child.
Angelo was reported missing by his mother, Khalifa Tobias, on May 11, prompting widespread public concern and significant media attention across Trinidad and Tobago.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), supported by the Tobago Emergency Management Agency, the Tobago Fire Service, and volunteers from several communities, have been conducting coordinated search operations in multiple areas across the island.
Investigators have also expanded search efforts to sections of Tobago’s coastline as authorities continue to pursue leads in the case.
Meanwhile, the TTPS has raised concerns following the circulation of leaked CCTV footage linked to the investigation. Police warned that the unauthorized sharing of sensitive material on social media could negatively impact investigative efforts by spreading misinformation and generating false leads.
Authorities are urging members of the public to avoid circulating unverified information and instead report any potentially useful details directly to investigators.
The TTPS said search operations remain active and assured the public that all available resources continue to be deployed in the effort to locate the missing toddler.
