In a landmark move, public officers in Trinidad and Tobago are set to receive a 10 percent salary increase. This follows a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between the Public Services Association (PSA) and the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) on December 2nd, 2025. The agreement ends years of stalled negotiations and delivers long overdue financial adjustments for officers within the Civil Service, Statutory Authorities, and the Tobago House of Assembly. The agreement includes a 10 percent salary increase, consolidation of the Cost of Living Allowance, new salary structures effective from 2026, revised allowances from 2014, and advance payment on arrears by December 23rd, 2025. Chief Personnel Officer Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial commended the perseverance of all parties involved and urged public officers to recommit to excellence in service delivery.
