Trinidad and Tobago has announced that it will host the 2025 Annual Coordination Meeting of the UN Cooperation Framework (ACM2025). The event, scheduled for 10 December, will see governments from the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean, UN agencies and UN Resident Coordinators convening to strengthen the Caribbean region’s collaboration with the United Nations. The meeting will center on creating concrete steps towards achieving the Global Goals for sustainable development. Topics of focus will include inclusive digital economies, sustainable food production solutions, data and digitisation for social protection, and the prevention of gender-based violence. The Minister of Planning, Economic Affairs and Development, The Honourable Kennedy Swaratsingh, emphasised the importance of a multi-stakeholder approach for inclusive, sustainable, and resilient development. The discussions at the ACM2025 will also shape the next UN Cooperation Framework for 2027-2031.
