Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Soldier Suspected Suicide: Investigations Ongoing

A tragic incident has occurred involving a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force. Shaquil Curtis McCoy, a 27-year-old soldier, was found dead at his home in Maraval. The case is currently being treated as a suspected suicide.

McCoy was assigned to the 1st Infantry Battalion at Camp Ogden, St James. He was discovered at his residence along Saddle Road in Maraval, where he was found hanging. The shocking discovery has left his colleagues and loved ones grappling with the sudden loss.
