A disagreement over beach chair placement turned violent at Buccoo Beach on Wednesday morning, resulting in a 29-year-old tour operator being stabbed. The victim, a resident of Canaan, Tobago, faced an unexpected confrontation from a man identified only as ‘PAU’. The encounter occurred around 10 a.m. on April 8, 2026.
The dispute escalated rapidly when the suspect brandished a knife, stabbing the victim three times in his lower right leg. The attack resulted in significant bleeding.
In the wake of the incident, Emergency Health Services swiftly transported the victim to Scarborough General Hospital for immediate medical attention.
The Shirvan Road Police Station promptly responded to the distress call, with Officers W/Cpl Woods and PC Isaac arriving at the scene. Currently, WPC Noray is spearheading the ongoing investigations into the violent incident.
