Homadath Sookdeo, a 44-year-old resident of Todds Road, Trinidad and Tobago, was found bound, gagged, and deceased on Tyrico Beach on March 8th, 2026. Initially reported as missing, the victim’s family positively identified him at the Forensic Science Centre on March 9th. The murder scene was processed by the Specialist Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU), and various pieces of evidence were collected. Sookdeo’s missing white Toyota Hilux pickup was later found in the Maracas Bay area. The investigation, led by Sgt Ramoutar of the Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations, continues as they strive to uncover the circumstances of Sookdeo’s death and the perpetrator of this crime.
