TK Smokehouse begins a fresh chapter after closing its Brooklyn location

After enduring a series of setbacks at its former Brooklyn location, TK Smokehouse has officially opened the doors to its new home in Long Island, marking a fresh start for the popular restaurant owned by Trinidadian dancehall artiste Trinidad Killa.

The reopening follows the closure of the restaurant’s previous location in Brooklyn, which had faced a difficult period. Earlier, the establishment was the scene of a shooting incident in which gunfire struck the building, leaving visible bullet damage to the restaurant. Despite the incident, Trinidad Killa publicly vowed to remain resilient and continue moving forward.

While the former Brooklyn location ultimately closed, no official statement has linked the shooting to the restaurant’s closure. The reasons for the closure have not been publicly confirmed.

Now, the business is entering a new chapter with its Long Island location. Announcing the opening, TK Smokehouse thanked its loyal customers, friends and supporters who stood by the restaurant through the challenges of the past several months.

The team expressed gratitude for the encouragement and patience shown throughout the transition, saying the continued support of the community made the reopening possible. They also hinted that more announcements are on the way as the business settles into its new home.

For many supporters, the new restaurant represents more than just a change of address. It symbolizes resilience and a renewed opportunity for the brand to continue serving its loyal customers after overcoming adversity.

With the Long Island location now officially open, TK Smokehouse is looking ahead to the future, hoping to write a new chapter built on perseverance, community support and a fresh beginning.
