A suspected gunman was killed and two individuals were injured in a shooting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. The incident occurred inside Constant Hall on the morning of March 12, 2026. Campus police and emergency personnel responded swiftly to the situation. The injured parties were taken to a local hospital for treatment. In light of the incident, university officials cancelled all classes for the day and advised students and staff to stay away from the area while the investigation is ongoing. Just before the incident, the university had issued an emergency alert advising the campus community to follow active shooter safety protocols.
