Sangre Grande Man Stabbed and Robbed in Heights of Aripo

In a shocking incident on Sunday, April 12, 2026, a Sangre Grande man was stabbed and robbed in the Heights of Aripo. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, had picked up two acquaintances around 5:12 p.m. when the situation turned violent. Upon arriving in the Aripo area, one of the men reportedly armed himself with a knife and attacked the victim, inflicting several stab wounds.

Following the assault, the assailants fled the scene with the victim’s motor vehicle, cellular phone, cash, and other valuables. Distressed and injured, the victim promptly sought medical treatment for his wounds. Authorities have indicated that the injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

The investigation is being led by Cpl Andrews, who confirmed that swift action has already been taken. One suspect has been apprehended, and the stolen vehicle has been recovered. Police are continuing their inquiries to track down the second suspect and gather more information regarding the robbery.

This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges related to crime in the area. Local residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
