Retiran del mercado EE. UU. calentadores eléctricos por riesgo de incendio; dominicanos NYC en alerta

A recall has been issued for 338,000 electric space heaters sold in the United States between September 2025 and October 2026 after more than a dozen reports of units catching fire. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the action on Tuesday. The recalled heaters are the DREO ceramic models with the designation DR‑HSH015. They are black, measure about 29 cm wide by 33 cm tall, and include a control panel. Only units manufactured from April 2025 to January 2026 are affected. The manufacturing date and model number are printed on a label on the bottom of the heater, and the brand name “DREO” appears on the front. The heaters were sold at Costco, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, QVC and Home Depot. Consumers who own a unit that falls within the affected date range are instructed to stop using it immediately and to contact DREO for a free replacement. The company can be reached by phone at 833‑820‑0887 (8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday), by email at spaceheater@realtimeresults.net, or online at https://www.recallrtr.com/spaceheater. Residents of Dominican descent in New York City have reported taking precautionary measures and informing their compatriots about the recall.
