Rada miraton zgjatjen e gjendjes së luftës dhe mobilizimit deri më 29 janar 2027

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved two laws extending the state of war and general mobilization until 29 January 2027. The legislation was passed on Monday, 22 January, and will take effect on 31 October. Law No. 16182, which extends the presidential decree on the state of war, received the support of 293 deputies. Law No. 16183, extending general mobilization, was adopted with 281 votes. President Volodymyr Zelensky had proposed the extensions to the parliament in the morning of the same day, as the existing deadlines were set to expire on 31 October. According to Ukrinform, the laws were passed after a discussion in which Ihor Klymenko, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, explained to the Rada that implementing the decree would help Ukraine take adequate measures to counter armed aggression and safeguard its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He emphasized that the measures would continue to empower state bodies, military command, military administrations, and local self‑government necessary for the defense of the country.
