Prominent Businessman Brutally Murdered in Arima Home, Valuables Missing

A grim discovery was made at Trestrail Development, Arima, where businessman Sterling Francois was found brutally murdered in his home. The 45-year-old was found by a concerned relative who decided to check on him after several unanswered phone calls. The scene that awaited was chilling, with blood-stained footprints leading to Francois’ lifeless body.

The police were called to the residence on Saturday, June 20, 2026, around 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a bloody cutlass and apparent blood smeared throughout the house. The footprints and blood splatter led them to Francois, who was lying face down, naked and covered in blood.

According to the police, Francois was last seen alive on Friday evening, when he returned home with an unknown male. The male left the house shortly after midnight, carrying a knapsack. Following the gruesome discovery, several of Francois’ belongings – an iPhone, laptop, PlayStation, and wallet – were found missing.

Francois was a successful businessman, owning and operating several businesses including Kyva General Contractors Limited, Langley’s, and an auto rental company. The police are continuing to investigate this tragic incident, probing into the circumstances surrounding Francois’ death.
