He suggested that Transjakarta, Jakarta’s bus rapid transit system, could be the pioneer for hydrogen mobility.
“Perhaps the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources could lobby the Governor of Jakarta to use these buses for Transjakarta,” Darmawan added.
He emphasized that hydrogen buses are more environmentally friendly than electric vehicles because they produce no battery waste. The push is now on the government to facilitate early adoption through public transportation fleets.
