A violent stabbing incident in Barataria has left one man dead and three others hospitalised. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased, a 37-year-old man identified as Ryan Morris, also known as “Dole,” of Upper 8th Avenue, Barataria, suffered multiple stab wounds during an altercation and later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing emergency surgery.
The altercation reportedly occurred shortly after 3:15 a.m. outside a bar along 6th Avenue, Barataria. A fight broke out among a group of men who had gathered along the roadway. During the confrontation, several individuals were attacked with broken bottles.
Three other men, Mickail Charles, Matthew Chin, and Dion Thomas, were also wounded in the incident. Charles sustained a stab wound to his left forearm and is listed in stable condition, while Chin and Thomas, both of whom were stabbed in the abdominal region, are reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Police are currently conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding this deadly altercation.
