Mustafa Sandal’ın kayınvalidesinin 3 milyon dolarına el konuldu

Istanbul, Turkey – The Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office (İstanbul Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı) has seized a bank account belonging to Reyhan Sütşurup, the mother‑in‑law of pop singer Mustafa Sandal. The account held approximately 3 million U.S. dollars, which prosecutors say was being transferred abroad. The seizure is part of a broader investigation into alleged illicit gains from the Tera investment funds. ### Alleged Profits from Tera Funds According to the prosecutor’s file, Melis Sütşurup Sandal and her father, Cihan Sütşurup, are accused of earning roughly 3 billion Turkish lira in profit from the Tera TLY fund. The indictment states that Melis invested 13 673 million lira in 2026 and earned a profit of 2 355 million lira, while Cihan invested 3 707 million lira and earned 639 million lira. The combined profit is therefore estimated at about 3 billion lira. ### Legal Actions and Asset Freezes On 29 September, a warrant for the arrest of Melis Sütşurup Sandal and her father was issued, and their assets were frozen. The prosecutor’s office had requested asset freezes for 47 real persons and 106 entities, including the two family members. On 22 September, five suspects linked to Tera Investment Holding, including board chairman Emre Tezmen, were arrested on charges of forming an organization to commit crimes, fraud during commercial activities, and violating the Capital Markets Law. On 24 October, the lawyers of Melis Sütşurup Sandal and Cihan Sütşurup contacted the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office to request the return of the alleged profits. The prosecutors directed the matter to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (Tasarruf Mevduatı Sigorta Fonu, TMSF). The exact amount to be returned has not yet been finalized. ### Returns by Other Suspects Since the investigation began, 25 suspects have returned a total of 10 300 million lira. Among them, Enver and Feridun Geçgel, owners of Astor Energy AŞ, returned 5 billion lira, after which the prosecutor’s office lifted the asset freeze on the pair. ### Mustafa Sandal’s Statement Following the investigation, Mustafa Sandal addressed his audience at a concert in Ankara. He stated: “I have never bought or sold any fund. My only source of income for the past 33 years has been music, thanks to your support.” The singer emphasized that he has no connection to the alleged fund transactions. The investigation into the alleged financial misconduct continues.
