44-year-old Homadath Sookdeo of Todds Road, Trinidad and Tobago, who was reported missing, has been identified as the victim in a horrifying discovery at Tyrico Beach. His body, found bound and gagged on March 8, was positively identified by relatives the following day at the Forensic Science Centre. On arrival, police found Sookdeo’s hands bound with rope and a dog chain, and his feet secured with an orange strap. A gag had been placed over his mouth. His white Toyota Hilux pickup, reported missing after his disappearance, was later located in the Maracas Bay area. The investigation, led by Sgt Ramoutar of the Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations, continues as authorities work to uncover how Sookdeo was killed and who is behind this crime.
