Miss North Carolina USA Loses Crown Over Alleged Racist Posts

Brittany Boltinhouse has been stripped of her Miss North Carolina USA 2026 title after alleged racist social media posts from 2017 to 2019 resurfaced. The decision was made by A-Blaize Productions, the pageant organizers, following a comprehensive review with the Miss USA Organization. The posts, reportedly containing racial slurs and offensive language, have not been publicly detailed by the organization.

Miss USA Chairman and CEO, Thom Brodeur, highlighted the organization’s zero-tolerance policy against racism, homophobia, and transphobia, emphasizing the importance of upholding dignity. Titleholders, he stated, are expected to meet these standards both publicly and privately.

Following Boltinhouse’s dethronement, the title has been awarded to first runner-up Myla Hadley, who is set to represent North Carolina at the upcoming 75th Miss USA pageant. Hadley expressed her gratitude for the opportunity but refrained from commenting on the controversy surrounding her predecessor.

The pageant community, including fellow contestant Alexis Yearde, was reportedly shocked by the allegations. Yearde conveyed her support for the decision, stressing the need for accountability within the organization. Boltinhouse has yet to publicly address the allegations, although Miss USA officials anticipate a statement from her soon.
