Milan, Cardinale e il derby: “Mi sveglio ogni giorno sperando in un pari dell’Inter”

Gerry Cardinale, the owner of RedBird Capital and the chairman of AC Milan, told La Gazzetta dello Sport that his focus remains on winning titles and closing the gap with Inter Milan. “Every morning I wake up hoping for a small glimmer, that Inter will start drawing instead of winning and that we will begin to assemble a series of successes,” Cardinale said. “Winning is the only thing that matters to me, to gain ground on those ahead of us.” He added that the rivalry with Inter keeps him up at night. “We have earned the level we are at now and we respect them. I am confident we will reach that level and lift that cup – the scudetto,” he said. Regarding the club’s new stadium, Cardinale described it as an important milestone but emphasized that nothing compares to a derby victory over Inter. “No stadium in the world is worth as much as a win in the derby against Inter,” he remarked.
