Puerto Rican artist and content creator Michael Flores announced that he would pay tribute to his late niece, Laia, during the Heat Awards 2026. The event, held on Thursday, will feature Flores on the magenta carpet in a carefully chosen outfit that he said was dedicated to Laia. On Instagram, Flores posted photographs of his attire and wrote, “Today I pay tribute to my soul’s niece, a kiss to the sky, Laia.” He added that the tribute also celebrated his participation in the high‑profile event. Flores highlighted the effort and discipline that have enabled him to remain a prominent figure in Latin music and digital culture. “Among so many names, mine still makes noise. Dressed in elegance, backed by my effort and discipline. Today I walk among stars, but I never forget the nights when no one believed in me,” he wrote. The artist also expressed gratitude to the Heat Awards organization for the nomination and thanked his fans. “I love my fans; we will keep showing who we are,” he said. Flores is one of the nominees for the Best Content Creator category at the Heat Awards 2026.
