Medvedev vihjaa Trumpille: Tapata Zelenskyi

Former Russian presidential aide Dmitry Medvedev has publicly urged U.S. President Donald Trump to take action against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In a post on social media reported by the independent Russian outlet The Moscow Times, Medvedev called for Trump to “get rid of” Zelensky, accusing the Ukrainian leader of insulting the former U.S. president. Medvedev’s remarks echo long‑standing Russian propaganda narratives that portray Zelensky as a thief of Western aid, a blocker of peace negotiations, and a provocateur of a potential nuclear conflict. He also cited ongoing Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries as justification for his stance. In the same post, Medvedev suggested that Trump “call the defense minister and the CIA chief and give them the task of correcting this unacceptable misunderstanding,” adding that the method, location, or timing was irrelevant. The statement was framed as a threat, a tactic Medvedev has used before. He has previously advocated a “Venezuela model” solution for Ukraine, referencing the U.S. operation that removed Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in January. The Ukrainian presidential office has confirmed that several assassination attempts have been made against Zelensky during the ongoing war. The allegations remain unverified and are part of a broader pattern of hostile rhetoric from Russian officials toward Ukraine and its allies.
