In connection with the November 19th maxi-taxi robbery in Arouca, two suspects, including the alleged mastermind, have been apprehended by the police. Arnold Michael, also known as ‘Stinkin,’ was one of the detainees. He had been under court-ordered surveillance but had removed his ankle monitoring bracelet, triggering a manhunt. Akeeda Singh, another suspect, was arrested hours after the robbery that shocked the nation. The incident, which was captured on video and circulated widely on social media, involved a woman in a hijab and five accomplices who boarded the maxi-taxi and robbed the driver and passengers. While the police have confirmed the identities of the remaining suspects, they are still at large and believed to be in hiding.
