Maharashtra TET Paper Leak Mastermind Arrested in Bihar After Month-Long Manhunt

The mastermind behind the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak has been arrested in Bihar after a month-long manhunt, authorities confirmed on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Bijendra Gupta, was apprehended by a joint team of Maharashtra and Bihar police. The arrest brings a major breakthrough in the case that compromised the integrity of the exam, affecting thousands of aspiring teachers.

Gupta is alleged to have orchestrated the leak of the TET question paper, which led to the cancellation of the exam in several centers. He had been on the run since late June.

Further investigation is underway to trace other individuals involved in the leak. Police are also examining Gupta’s network and possible links to similar exam fraud cases.
