The Norwegian Football Federation has approved the takeover of LSK Kvinner’s spot in the Toppserien by Fet IL Fotball Elite, effective 1 January. LSK’s survival depended on a win against Hønefoss and a result that would keep Røa from being relegated by a loss to Haugesund. Both conditions failed. Haugesund won 1–0 away, with the goal scored by Heidi Ellingsen. In the match at Hønefoss, the home side took the lead through Silje Nyhagen, but Emma Reshane equalised for LSK, ending the game at 1–1. Earlier this week Hønefoss avoided bankruptcy, while the future of Røa for the upcoming season remains uncertain. In the upper part of the Toppserien, the positions of the top four clubs were already settled. Brann were the league champions before the final round, followed by Aalesund, Rosenborg and Vålerenga. Brann secured the title by defeating Molde 2–0 at home, with goals from Karoline Haugland and Lovera Brenna.
